After the success of last year’s Pizzafest, Pizzacraft, the brand of pizza ovens and accessories from the Companion Group, will be hosting its second annual Pizzafest, a celebration of pizza, on October 17.
The event will take place on Gillman & 9th Street in Berkeley, CA from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and guests are invited to sample pizzas cooked on the over 20 pizza ovens, and vote for the People’s Choice Award, as well as watch demos of pizza making tools and techniques.
At the event, guests are invited to shop the Pizzacraft store, relax in the beer gardens serving Lagunitas and Fieldworks brews, and kids are welcome to play in a Fun Zone, the company said. Proceeds for the event will go towards the Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency charity which serves the homeless, poor and disabled in the Bay Area.
Tickets for the festival are available online for $10, or will be sold at the door for $20. Ticket holders are welcome to sample unlimited, all-you-can-eat slices from the competing teams as well as $5 off the next pizzacraft.com purchase.
Guests will also have an opportunity to learn how to make pizza themselves, and to shop for pizza-making tools and accessories. The company will be hosting demos of the Pizzeria Pronto Outdoor Pizza Oven, and the PizzaQue Pizza Fit for Kettle Grills.
