About 70% of consumers shop Amazon.com, according to a survey conducted by CPC Strategy, and almost a quarter of shoppers overall browse the site are open to new brands and products.
In the survey, 23.2% of consumers said they frequently try new brands and products when they shop Amazon, with 25.3% of respondents to the survey saying the sometimes try new brands and products. In the survey, 31% of respondents said they don’t shop Amazon at all.
Women were somewhat more likely to shop new brands and products on Amazon than men. Younger consumers said they frequently shop the site to try new things more often than older consumers. Still, 67% of 45 to 50 year olds characterized their experimenting with new products and brands as frequent.
