Flu season just got spookier, but in a whimsical way with the launch of Crane USA’s new “Horribles” line of children’s humidifiers.
The home comfort collection includes four new designs: an alien, monster (one blue, one pink) and robot. The humidifiers have a suggested retail price of $49.99 and will be sold exclusively at Best Buy.
The Horribles line follows up on the company’s Adorables animal shaped humidifier line. This month, the company is also adding a sheep and unicorn design to its Adorables line, which will be available at mass retailers.
The new humidifiers feature an ultrasonic cool mist, removable one-gallon tank, run whisper quiet up to 24 hours, do not require a filter and have an auto-off function that activates when the water tank is empty.
Each of the Horribles will be packaged in recycled cardboard pulp packaging and biodegradable plastic bag, and placed inside a post-industrial recyclable cardboard box. The new recycled pulp packaging will eventually be used for all Crane humidifiers and home comfort appliances.
“We are trying to really play our part with our corporate sustainability efforts,” said Katie Sotor, vp/marketing, Crane USA. “As a company, we are trying to start thinking more about what we can do across the board from our corporate office to our packaging, our warehouse and factory.”
