In partnership with the International Folk Art Alliance, the Dallas Market Center will host the International Folk Art Market Collection, June 19 to 23, during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.
The new exhibit will be held in the World Trade Center Atrium, where buyers can peruse handcrafted jewelry, gifts and home décor. Buyers will get to know more than 20 artisans from all over the world including Mexico, Uzbekistan, India and other countries.
The global artisans are part of the International Folk Art Alliance (IFAA), which hosts the International Folk Art Market (IFAM) each summer in Santa Fe, NM. Prior to the event in Santa Fe, a number of artisans exhibit at Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, where they deliver unique merchandise from a variety of categories.
“We proudly support IFAM and its mission to help support artists and their communities around the world,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “As retailers seek unique, handmade products with a compelling story this temporary exhibition is a major attraction. Likewise, their spirit of creativity and generosity are important lessons for our own community of customers.”
