DeLonghi has expanded its home comfort appliance portfolio with the launch of a smart portable air conditioner, new heaters and a premium dehumidifier.
The Pinguino smart portable air conditioner allows users to control all functions via a mobile app. According to the company, controllable functions include on/off, thermostat setting, timer and mode. It also features 4-in-1 functionality with cooling, dehumidifying, heating and three speed fan only options.
“As a global leader in the home comfort category, DeLonghi continues to focus on bringing meaningful, premium innovations to the market, while also incorporating the latest innovations to make lives easier— like our new app-controlled smart portable air conditioner with Wi-Fi connectivity,” said Mike Prager, DeLonghi Group NA’s president and CEO.
The Pinguino Smart portable air conditioner is 14,000 BTU, and will be available this summer with a retail price of $899.95.
DeLonghi’s new line of SafeHeat ceramic heaters includes a personal and tower size. Both models feature silent system technology to operate with over 50% less noise, the company said. The instant heat feature is said to allow both 1,500-watt heaters to heat up in seconds. A Heat Badge indicator offers peace of mind in a household with children, alerting parents to when the heater has warmed up to its ideal temperature and is therefore hot to the touch, the company noted. The digital control panel offers three-heat settings and a fan only option for summer ventilation. The personal ceramic heater and 24-inch tower ceramic heater will be available in August 2016 and will retail at $89.95 and $99.95, respectively.
DeLonghi’s new premium compact dehumidifier is a multi-function dehumidifier designed for smaller spaces. It includes air filtration for particles and odor control, an auto restart feature, sensor touch controls and tank or drain options. It will be available in September 2016 with a suggested retail price of $249.95.
