Despite Q4 Loss, Neiman Marcus Turns 2015 Profit

For the fiscal year ended August 1, Neiman Marcus Group posted net earnings of $14.9 million versus a net loss of $147.2 million for fiscal 2014. The company reported total revenues of $5.10 billion, up 5.3% from the prior fiscal year while comparable revenues increased 3.9%.

For the fourth quarter, Neiman Marcus announced that total revenues gained 4.9% to  $1.17 billion as comparable revenues increased 1.9%. The company stated that its net loss was $32.9 million versus a net loss of $42.1 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2014.

In October 2014, the company noted, Neiman Marcus acquired MyTheresa, a luxury retailer headquartered in Munich, Germany with operations conducted primarily through the MyTheresa.com global luxury website.

In the fourth quarter, Neiman Marcus reported, EBITDA was $97 million versus $96.7 million in the year prior while adjusted EBITDA, excluding extraordinary charges, was $107.9 million versus $111.3 million in the 2014 frame. For the full year, EBITDA was $640.8 million versus $348.9 million in fiscal 2014. Adjusted EBITDA for fiscal 2015 was $710.6 million versus $698.4 million in the year earlier, the company maintained.
