Dexas International Ltd. has named consumer products executive and industry veteran Scott Henrikson as president of the company.
The move allows Dexas founder, Ellis Shamoon, to continue in his role as company CEO and also spend more time focused on his passion for housewares product design and innovation.
“I’m pleased to be working with Scott. He’s got a great track record building sales and marketing teams and the experience to take over the day-to-day duties as our president,” Shamoon recently told HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® in an exclusive interview.
Henrikson’s background in housewares includes nearly 15 years with Jarden Corporation. During his tenure with the company, he has held several executive sales and marketing positions, including its Quickie, Coleman and Jarden Consumer Solutions groups. Prior to Jarden, Henrikson served as vp/sales for Progressive International and has also held positions at Newell Corporation, Corning and General Mills.
“Dexas is an exceptional, family-owned company with nearly 50 years of excellence in product design, innovation and customer service. I’m excited and honored to join Ellis and his talented team. This move really frees him up to focus more of his time on the things he is really passionate about and what he built the company on,” Henrikson said.
He added, “Dexas is a very authentic brand that plays in several different categories including housewares, pet and office supplies, and we will continue to focus on building the brand with consumers around the world.”
