According to Adobe Digital Insights, United States online holiday spending looks to increase 14.8% year-over-year to $124.1 billion.
ADI expects total U.S. 2018 online sales to reach $504 billion, the company stated, up 12.9% from 2017.
Consumers are expected to spend $23.4 billion online during the five-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend closing with Cyber Monday, up 19.4% year over year. Cyber Monday 2018 is poised to be the biggest ever and top digital sales day of the Thanksgiving period, generating $7.8 billion in revenue this year, up 17.6% from the date in 2017. That’s almost two billion more than $5.9 billion in sales expected on Black Friday, up 17.2% from the 2017 date, the second biggest web shopping day of the turkey-basted holiday weekend, ADI maintained.
