Students from The Growing Place participated in an educational and interactive activity about the importance of recycling and caring for the environment organized by Distrivalto’s ClipFresh brand.
Among the activities involved, students learned about the major stages of a plant’s life cycle. After, they planted sunflower seeds in ClipFresh planters made out of 100% recycled plastic.
This is the second such initiative conducted at The Growing Place, Distrivalto noted. The program launched this summer, and the company and the Growing Place plan to conduct a third version in response to the reaction from the students and teachers.
“As a mom of three, I certainly appreciate the efforts to educate children from a young age about caring for the planet and minimizing waste,” said Vanessa Valera-Nolte, Distrivalto’s marketing director. “With these type of experiences, children are encouraged to ask more questions and take action, which ultimately is what will make the biggest impact in society.”
