With schools preparing to reopen, Operation Homefront and partner Dollar Tree are initiating the Back-to-School Brigade program for its 12th consecutive year collecting school supplies for military children.
Through August 22, supplies purchased by Dollar Tree customers at more than 7,400 of its participating stores nationwide will become donations to Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit serving America’s military families. Operation Homefront volunteers will collect the school supplies, which the organization will then distribute to military families at more than 120 Back-to-School Brigade events this summer as well as through local community partners.
“Operation Homefront’s support for military families is such an important service to those who make sacrifices for our country,” said Chelle Davis, a Dollar Tree spokesperson. “We are proud to continue our support and appreciate that our customers share that generosity.”
