Keurig Green Mountain and the Dr Pepper Snapple Group have announced that they will develop a selection of Dr Pepper Snapple brands for the soon-to-roll-out Keurig Cold at-home beverage system. Keurig Cold will launch in the fall.
As a part of a multi-year agreement, Keurig will become the exclusive producer of single-serve, pod-based carbonated DPS brands using fountain syrup in the Keurig Cold platform. The deal covers the United States and Canada.
“With Keurig Cold, we’ve leveraged Keurig innovation to make it possible for consumers to create great-tasting cold beverages at home with the one-touch simplicity of Keurig. We’re very excited to offer a range of Dr Pepper Snapple’s iconic brands in the system at launch,” Lori Tauber Marcus, Keurig’s chief product officer, Keurig Cold Systems, said in announcing the dual initiative.
DPS executive vp/marketing Jim Trebilcock said, “Our team is committed to building and enhancing our leading brands, and this agreement presents an opportunity to reach consumers in new occasions. We’re looking forward to working with Keurig to bring our brands to this innovative new platform.”
