Drop’s new interactive recipe app and connected kitchen scale is now available for purchase through the company’s online store as well as in Apple stores across the U.S. and Canada and Apple.com, the company announced on Friday.
The Drop kitchen scale connects with the Drop Kitchen app to display weight measurements and showcase recipes while also helping users accurately measure quantities based on the recipe they choose, according to the company. The interactive recipes connect directly to the scale to show up-to-date weight measurements and eliminates margin of error by monitoring and adjusting ingredient weights. The free app is also able to re-scale quantities and substitution of common ingredients by simply tapping the screen, the company said.
“We’re making Drop’s vision—to bring people together around home-cooked food—a reality, by reinventing recipes and enriching them with the latest ‘Internet of Things’ technology and thinking,” said Ben Harris, co-founder and CEO, Drop.
Drop’s kitchen scale carries a suggested retail price of $99.95.
