Highwave has developed Earthlid, a leak-tight alternative to traditional polystyrene plastic coffee lids.
The company has made its mission reducing single-use waste and cleaning up oceans. As such, the company will donate $1 to one of three organizations from each Earthlid purchase: 5 Gyres, SurfRider Foundation or Oceana. Highwave formulated Earthlid from recyclable BPA Free silicone, the company maintained, and created a one size fits reusable item that can replace polystyrene cup toppers and straws.
The Highwave website currently offers Earthlid on a pre-order basis for $15.
