Emile Henry is tapping into the healthy eating trend by bringing its new storage bowl to the market.
According to the company, the ceramic bowl features ventilation holes on the bottom, acting as a mini root vegetable pantry for onions, potatoes and beets. The ceramic bowl keeps the light out and, together with the cork lid, helps maintain a constant temperature.
However, the bowl isn’t just for root vegetables. The cork bowl shaped lid serves as a fruit bowl. The natural properties of the cork helps to preserve the fruit, to repel fruit flies and to allow fruit to be kept out on the counter rather than hidden in the refrigerator, the company said.
Emile Henry will roll out the new bowl in June. It will be available in flour and burgundy colors.
