Wayfair has debuted a new television commercial that was entirely written, produced and performed by the company’s employees.
The new commercial brings back the iconic jingle featured in Wayfair’s first commercials. The company opened a casting call to its employees and accepted video auditions for featured spots in the new national television commercial. The spot, dubbed Wayfair Musical: The Remix, will begin airing on HGTV, CBS, Lifetime, Hallmark and FYI Network.
To further engage consumers, the company is running a peek-behind-the-scenes video of the commercial production, and is launching a social media contest inviting enthusiasts to sing along with the Wayfair theme song in the creation and sharing of their own videos.
To enter the contest, customers share their videos on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using @Wayfair and #WayfairMusical beginning June 20. The company will select top videos to be featured in the next Wayfair YouTube ad. In addition, ten top contest entries will win a $50 Wayfair gift card.
