Epoca Receives Patents For Primula Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker

Epoca has received two U.S. Design Patents for its Primula Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker and the interchangeable stainless steel brew core that goes with it. These are the first two patents that Primula has received, with a string of other patents pending in this category, said Brian Melzer, president, Epoca.

Primula’s Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker features a patented sleek carafe designed to fit most refrigerator doors. The large capacity gadget brews up to 40 ounces of coffee. The temperature-safe BPA free borosilicate glass pitcher has a pour spout, non-slip base and is dishwasher safe.

The company said that the Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker brews coffee that is 65% less acidic than hot brewed coffee and has a naturally sweet flavor profile. The cold brew process takes at least 12 hours and will stay fresh in a refrigerator for up to 14 days, according to Epoca.

The patented stainless steel brew core features a fine stainless steel mesh with a removable screw off bottom, which makes cleaning easier, according to the company. This core, said Epoca, is also a part of Primula’s MyBev Interchangeable Core System and can be used with the Cold Brew Coffee Maker, Cold Brew Dispenser and other Primula pitchers.

In addition, the Primula Cold Brew Coffee Maker comes with a mixing core. Once the coffee is brewed, all types of mixers can be added and the mixing core is used to stir up the ingredients. Epoca includes recipes with the coffee maker.

Primula’s Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker has an SRP of $29.99.
