Seattle-based Espresso Supply has acquired Ekobrew, best known for its assortment of environmentally friendly filters and accessories that are designed to work with popular single-serve coffeemakers.
The deal expands Espresso Supply’s assortment of appliances, which includes the Bonavita line of coffeemakers and electric kettles. Ekobrew’s assortment also includes its recently introduced single-serve coffeemaker.
“We feel that Ekobrew has a lot of potential and allows consumers to brew a higher quality cup of coffee,” Chris Legler, CEO of Espresso Supply, told HomeWorldBusiness.com. “We also love the environmental aspects of Ekobrew’s products.”
Ekobrew’s product selection includes reusable filters and paper filters designed for use with most single-serve coffeemakers currently on the market. The company’s products are available at several major retailers including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kroger.
Espresso Supply officials said the company plans to launch new products under the Ekobrew and Bonavita brands at the 2016 International Home + Housewares Show this coming March in Chicago.
