Fellowes Brands has introduced a new sit/stand desk-topper workstation, the Lotus DX, developed to help more people make the switch to an active work style.
An addition to the Lotus line of sit-stand workstations, the Lotus DX offers proprietary features that make use easier and more convenient, the company stated, encouraging consumers to adopt and maintain the habit of shifting between sitting and standing positions while working.
In its consumer research and testing, Fellowes identified pain points users face when working with sit/stand desks, applying the information to design solutions that keep users moving and focused on getting the most out of its adjustable workstations.
The Lotus DX comes fully assembled, and incorporates patent-pending Smooth Lift technology that keeps the workstation stable while making position changes easy. The workstation offers 22 different height settings and 17 inches of vertical adjustment.
Fellowes added that Lotus workstations provide innovative cord management with rear USB ports for keyboard and mouse. The Lotus DX provides a built-in power station with wireless charging stand and an integrated two-port USB element. It also features Microban antimicrobial technology for protection against surface pathogens.
“We’ve found that new users may discontinue use if their workstation is inconvenient to use in any way,” said Nancy Heaton, vp/Fellowes Work Solutions. “The entire line of Fellowes Lotus workstations has been thoughtfully designed with features that make it effortless to use and be productive, eliminating nuisances such as cord management, limited height settings and issues with cleanliness that are struggles in other sit-stands. Research shows a 46% increase in workplace productivity with the use of standing desks, so you want a sit/stand flexible enough to fit your needs so you’ll actually use it.”
