Philips Sonicare is adding FlexCare Platinum, a product designed to remove up to seven times more plaque than a manual toothbrush. Philips, in announcing the product launch, added that the product also can improve gum health with a sonic technology that reaches deep between teeth and along the gum line for a better brushing effect.
The company pointed out that the product’s new InterCare Brush Head has bristles of different lengths to effectively clean parts teeth and gums whatever their location. It also employs a pressure sensor to guide brushing technique and alleviate the wearing effects of a too-aggressive action. Another feature allows users to customize their dental routine with a total of nine possible brushing combinations.
FlexCare Platinum now is in full distribution at a suggested retail price of $179.99. Philips developed a variant with a UV sanitizer that removes up to 99% of select bacteria from the InterCare brush head at a $199.99 SRP.
“Philips is committed to improving peoples’ oral health by developing differentiated products that enhance their existing routines with the very best in technology and user experience,” said Boon Lai, vp and marketing director for Philips Consumer Lifestyle.
