Forty One Madison Launches App In Time For Tabletop Market

Forty One Madison has launched its own App, designed to make working the Forty One Madison building easier, especially during Tabletop Market. The new App will be available  September 16.

“With the creation of the Forty One Madison App, we’re making our showroom directory, many of our buyer services and other information essentials more immediately accessible with the swipe of a finger and touch of a button on hand-held devices,” said Laurie Burns, svp/director of Forty One Madison. “Our goal is to make the experience for visitors to the show more convenient, efficient and productive.”

Showroom listings will be the cornerstone of the App, and they are organized three ways: alphabetically, by floor and by category. An image gallery also is accessible, featuring a company’s newest products. Touch a showroom’s email address or phone contact text when it pops up on the screen, and it automatically lets you connect, according to Forty One Madison. Incorporated also is a “To Do” section, allowing the user to keep a record of the specific showrooms to visit. A range of nearby restaurants are listed, with a link to Google maps thoughtfully provided, along with instant access to direct calling for a reservation. The App links, as well, to Forty One’s Facebook page and there’s an integrated Twitter feed.

The App is free and available in native version for Apple, Android and Blackberry 10, plus in mobile web version for all other device models.

According to Burns, during the October New York Tabletop Market, held October 15 through 18, “Get The App in a Snap” ambassadors will be posted in the Lobby and armed with mobile devices to help demonstrate the usage, answer questions and help users become familiar with the system.

 “The guide is very intuitive and easy to navigate, and, coming on the heels of our new building-wide WiFi system, it underscores how deeply committed we are to supporting both our showrooms and the retailers who shop the building,” added Burns.
