The Forty One Madison tabletop building reported a greater number of the New York Gift Show attendees over last year, as well as retailer turnout from such retailers as Williams-Sonoma and High Museum of Art, and a buyer presence from Central and South America.
“Forty One Madison proudly houses a concentration of superb resources which are an attraction for gift show buyers,” said Laurie Burns, senior vp/director. “There was some cautiously optimistic order-writing going on that gives promise to the upcoming holiday sales season.”
She credited the robust retailer visitations, in part, to New York International Gift Fair director and GLM senior vp Dorothy Belshaw and her team. “They really pulled out all the stops in producing a show that had the best sources and offered buyers new, imaginative business-building initiatives that benefited all of us who are show participants,” added Burns.
