Frigidaire had introduced its new Cool Connect Room Air Conditioner, which comes with the company’s smart appliance app. The app scheduler enables consumers to control the unit’s operation from their smart devices, which could save energy and money, noted Frigidaire.
“Our research revealed that 62% of room air conditioner owners want to use their smart phones to remotely control their units,” said John Weinstock, svp/marketing. “Our connected air conditioner gives them this control.”
The Frigidaire Cool Connect Room Air Conditioner and smart appliance app includes remote operation to turn the unit on/off, change modes and fan speeds from a mobile device; program and schedule the unit seven days a week, 24 hours a day to create custom cooling; up-to-date alerts, such as filter clean indicators and maintenance reminders; and usage information provided to monitor and schedule based on a consumer’s preferences.
The Frigidaire Cool Connect Air Conditioner is available at retailers nationwide and has a suggested retail price of $349. The Frigidaire app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
