Georg Jensen Expands Tabletop Collection

The Georg Jensen Design Team recently added new offerings to its extensive bar, tabletop and home decor collection.

Tapping into the home bar trend, the company has introduced two new coaster sets to expand its current collections. The company said the new Manhattan Coaster Set is inspired by the Art Deco movement, while the Sky Coaster Set follows the functional aspects of the Sky barware assortment.

Combined with functionality, the brand said the coaster sets are made from dark (Manhattan) and light (Sky) leather to match specific pieces in the existing collections.

Another highlight of the introductions is the Copenhagen Steak Knife Set designed by the late designer Grethe Moyer. With a matte stainless-steel finish, the knives have a cool, contemporary appearance, said the company, and a sharp blade that cuts meat without sawing.

As for home decor, Duo is a new collection that creates a modern, yet calming expression with three vases and two bowls crafted from clear mouthblown glass and stainless steel. The bowls can be used for decoration or to hold snacks.

The decorative steel collar is reminiscent of a piece of jewelry around a woman’s neck and is meant to reflect the flowers from every angle to create a unique double effect, an homage to the collection’s name.
