Gibson Overseas will introduce its new Urban Market collection at the 2018 Ambiente in Frankfurt.
According to the company, the collection aims to bridge the traditional homespun farm aesthetic with clean, modern design for the home and table. Some items will feature whimsical farm animal designs merged with colorful updated looks.
The Urban Market collection will include a wide variety of categories, such as dinnerware, pantry/food storage, accessories, wood, cookware, bakeware, serveware and glassware to make a complete farmhouse story at retail, the company said.
“Urban Market is designed to bring the farm to the city. Many of today’s urban dwellers are originally from a more rural experience. We find there is increasing demand for items for the home that evoke a simpler, down-to-earth aesthetic,” said Laurie Gates, Gibson’s vp/creative and merchandising.
