Gibson Overseas is advancing its bowl-centric product assortments with the launch of new coordinated statements at the upcoming New York Tabletop Market.
According to the company, the Gibson Elite Project 42 collection merges its industry research on the way consumers use bowls in daily life with the latest reactive glaze designs to create merchandising statements for retailers.
“Gibson’s own research confirms consumers are using and subsequently wanting more bowl options, the tricky part is creating a merchandising statement that offers a similar look in the various kind of shapes and styles that consumers are looking for,” said David Nicklin, Gibson’s vp/marketing and licensing.
Gibson will showcase multiple bowl statements that offer a coordinated look in six key bowl sizes. Project 42 includes a pinch bowl (3-4-inches), fruit bowl (4-5-inches), cereal bowl (6.0-6.5-inches), poke bowl (6.5-7-inches), ramen bowl (7-8-inches) and a dinner bowl (8-9-inches).
“The use of bowls is heavily influenced by global food trends and the growing importance of health and wellness,” said Laurie Gates, Gibson’s vp/creative and merchandising. “Our latest bowls tap directly into consumer needs by offering options that are designed for popular global foods like poke and ramen while at the same time offering a fashionable statement that brings style to both everyday meals and entertaining.”
