Gourmia has expanded its assortment of food prep kitchen electrics with the recent launch of its line of CoolCookers.
The two units in the line— a pressure cooker and multi-cooker— are equipped with a built-in refrigeration unit designed to keep food fresh and cold prior to cooking, according to the company. Each appliance can also be controlled by using the Gourmia mobile app and both are compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
“These appliances allow today’s busy cook to not only create delicious meals at the push of a button but to keep all of the ingredients fresh and cool, even when prepared hours ahead of time,” said Heshy Biegeleisen, Gourmia’s founder. “Plus, with the Gourmia mobile app, cooks can easily delay the start of cooking if they are running late, or start the meal cooking earlier if plans change.”
The main idea behind the cooling units of the CoolCookers is to keep food that is placed inside the unit fresh before the automatic cooking process begins. Gourmia officials said this allows home cooks to place ingredients inside the unit before heading to work, which are then cooked and ready for dinner when they return home.
The CoolCooker pressure cooker is equipped with an automatic pressure release, auto stir fry and a fully adjustable pressure setting. With Wi-Fi capability and the Gourmia app, home cooks can remotely release pressure from the unit, providing more control over the cooking process.
The CoolCooker multi-cooker features a 6.5-quart capacity and 11-in-1 functionality. The unit is also equipped with a host of preset times and temperatures that allow home cooks to sauté, bake, roast, steam sous vide and stew.
