Greene Joins InfoScout To Direct Housewares Analytics

Consumer market analytics company InfoScout has appointed Peter Greene as practice director for consumer durables.

Greene is spearheading InfoScout’s efforts in home improvement and durables categories, including small appliances and housewares.

InfoScout, headquartered in San Francisco, utilizes a vast consumer panel to provide retail sales data and analytics drawn from mobile apps that capture shopping receipt details and consumer surveys.

Greene, based in the Charlotte, NC, area, joins InfoScout with more than 20 years of experience in retail analytics management. Greene most recently was with Appriss Retail (formerly The Retail Equation) where he helped expand the company’s non-fraud based services. Greene also has served as the svp/ durables strategies at Nielsen. Before that, he spent 17 years with the NPD Group, where he served as president of the NPD’s home and consumer electrics divisions.

Brian Kay, InfoScout’s senior sales director, said Greene’s “deep experience in the [home and durables]sector places InfoScout, with the largest purchase panel in the U.S., in a great position to meet the needs of vendors and retailers within these categories.”

InfoScout during the past year has captured purchase data from nearly five million shopping trips related to home improvement and other durables categories, including small appliances and housewares, according to the company. The data covers a wide range of retail channels, home improvement, mass, specialty, electronics and e-commerce.
