Consumers who want to shop H-E-B won’t be limited to its 370 supermarkets in Texas and Mexico, as the company has launched an online store, offering more than 50,000 shelf stable foods, drug store and general merchandise products through heb.com. The shippable product assortment includes a range of housewares from small appliances to sauce pans to cutting boards.
A Totally Texas gift section includes products ranging from Salt Lick Dry Rub, based on spices used at an Austin barbecue restaurant, to Texas-shaped cookie cutters to Tervis Houston Texans tumblers.
The online store will also offer a broad assortment of general merchandise items, including its Mexican-inspired Cocinaware cookware line made exclusively for H-E-B.
The retailer can ship orders throughout Texas, to 46 states within the continental United States and to military bases worldwide.
H-E-B delivers all customer orders using standard shipping. Customers in some Texas cities may receive their orders the day after placing them. Otherwise, orders should arrive within three days, the company stated. Shipping fees vary but should average from $5 to $10 per order, H-E-B noted.
Although some products require a minimum order quantity, H-E-B is pricing all online items identically with those offered in store. In addition, H-E-B maintained that it had established a “no hassle” return policy for online orders. Any product ordered online can be returned to any H-E-B store for an immediate full refund, or, alternately, web items can be sent back to H-E-B using free shipping.
