Haan Names Guckian To VP Post

LANCASTER, PA— As part of its continuing effort to become a leader in the U.S. steam cleaner market, Haan has named housewares appliance veteran Chris Guckian to the newly created position of vp/sales and marketing.
Guckian has held senior sales and marketing management positions with such small appliance companies as Northern Electric, Epilady, Helen of Troy and, most recently, with the Envion division of Sylmark. Envion, which markets home environment and floor care products including the Garry upright vacuum, IonicPro air purifier and HumidiHeat humidifier and air washer, has been an active infomercial marketer; a strategy that has also proven key to companies looking to build the steam cleaner business.
Guckian is the second appliance veteran to join the company in the past year. Haan named Jeff Frankel, former vp/infomercial and direct to consumer marketing at Euro-Pro, to the director of marketing post in the spring of 2009.
Guckian reports directly to Romi Haan, owner of the company she founded in Korea, where Haan is the leading supplier of steam cleaning products.
In addition to adding Guckian, Haan has made a number of internal appointments, the result of promotions within the company. Among those undertaking new or expanded roles at the company are Mark Rosen, named company controller and Lorianna Sprague, who was named to the newly created position of Internet marketing manager. Also receiving a promotion was Emma Ross, who has been named customer service manager.
