Haier Launches Serenity Series Window Air Conditioner At CES

Haier has launched the Serenity Series Window AC during CES this week. The new air conditioner is equipped with a compression blanket and at 42db is designed for quiet operation, according to the company.

The AC has a cross flow fan, which is said to provide for a stronger, smoother airflow, as well as a dual motor design that enhances air control. It also includes three cool and three fan speeds with auto cool mode. The unit will be available at retail in the U.S. later this year.

Haier also unveiled new air quality appliances including the new Air Rubik.

Currently only available in China, the Air Rubik is a combined humidifier, dehumidifier, air purifier and aromatherapy unit. Company representatives stated that the all-in-one product provides pure, fresh air in a modular unit designed to be reduced or extended in size in order to fit a variety of spaces.

“We are constantly challenging ourselves to develop products that will enhance the consumer’s life and provide a better user experience,” said Adrian Micu, president and CEO, Haier America. “We find that CES is a great place to highlight our range of products and showcase our technology innovations.”

The International CES is currently taking place through January 9 in Las Vegas.
