Actress Candace Cameron Bure, known for her role on “Full House,” “Fuller House,” and an array of Hallmark movies and shows, has been an advocate of a healthy lifestyle. Now, Bure is lending her name to a line of cookware developed by West Dundee, IL-based CookCraft as an extension of her quest to help others live a healthy lifestyle.
The stainless steel cookware was developed with a patented latch lid that hooks on the edge of the pan. The line is comprised of six cookware pans crafted with tri-ply stainless steel construction and an aluminum core, which is designed to distribute heat evenly to enhance the cooking experience. In addition, each piece features a glass lid, offering the ability to see the food as it is cooking, with silicone handles on both bases and lids.
HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® had a chance to sit down with Bure at the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show to discuss her new cookware line as well as her position on food trends.
HomeWorld Business: You have reinvented your personal brand into someone who really puts an emphasis on healthy living. How does this cookware line reflect that?
Candace Cameron Bure: This product measures up to everything I want within my brand and it’s a product that I would really use. I never endorse products that I don’t personally use and don’t love because I wouldn’t be able to share that with people if my whole heart wasn’t in it. This is a very high-quality cookware line. The food is going to taste great because of how evenly it cooks because of the tri-ply stainless steel with the aluminum core. So, for a novice, you won’t have to worry about messing up the food and for an experienced home cook, you’re going to love this product because you already know what good quality cookware is.
HWB: What’s your favorite design element of the cookware?
CCB: This line has these features that you don’t see on other cookware, like the latch lids and the silicone handles that are great. I love the clear lids, also, because for someone like my husband who is really good at cooking, he doesn’t have to look at his food. I’m a little more cautious about it. So, the fact that I can see my food and don’t have to lift the lid— I feel like a novice can use this.
HWB: What do you want people to know about the CookCraft By Candace cookware?
CCB: I think this is helping a younger generation know that the quick fix isn’t always the best in the long-term. Quality lasts and there is a difference overall. You’re going to notice a difference in the way your food tastes, in the way you prepare it and that a quality product is always going to just be there for you.
HWB: What’s your favorite healthy meal to cook for your family?
CCB: I have some go-to choices for sure. I have a salmon dish I make that’s pretty easy, I put a little lemon and dill on it. It’s safe, it’s easy and I can’t mess it up. But the thing that I cook the most, even though it’s not my family’s favorite, is stir-fry. I eat vegetables more than anything, so I just cut up every vegetable, whether it’s bok choy or Brussels sprouts, and I just throw it into the 13-inch skillet and I just get a good stir-fry going.
