Helen of Troy named Leah Bailey global president of the company’s personal care business.
Bailey is responsible for professional and retail personal care appliances, liquids/lotions and brushes, combs and accessories.
Bailey has more than 25 years of experience in the beauty products business. Most recently, she was president and CEO of accessories marketer Paris Presents. She also has held management and senior marketing positions with Alberto Culver and Beecham Cosmetics.
Bailey reports to Helen of Troy CEO Julien Mininberg.
“As part of our strategy in personal care, Helen of Troy is very pleased to appoint its first-ever global president to oversee all of the various pieces of this $400 million-plus segment of our company,” Mininberg told HOMEWORLD BUSINESS. “She is just the right choice as we unify the four sub-segments of Helen of Troy personal care to drive that important business ahead, leverage our scale, build our brands and realize attractive global opportunities.”
Art August, veteran leader of Helen of Troy’s professional personal care business plans to retire after 25 years with the company following a transition period with Bailey, Mininberg said.
Alan Ames, who had served as vp of the company’s retail personal care appliance and brushes, combs and accessories businesses, has left the company to pursue other interests, Mininberg said.
