Electronics and home furnishings specialty retailer hhgregg will open an hour earlier than rival Best Buy on Thanksgiving, the company announced. The company also previewed its Black Friday ad, which includes a range of furniture including recliners, TV stands and dining sets, as well as a sectional and a sofa group.
Among the furniture products in the Black Friday promotion, hhgregg offered a Bell’O No Tools Assembly Cocoa and Matte Black Finish Stand for TVs up to 50 inches or 100 pounds at $299.99, which the retailer represented as a $150 savings.
On Thanksgiving night, hhgregg will remain open until midnight. On Black Friday, stores will open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and they will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the Saturday, November 29.
In addition, hhgregg announced that it would provide customer savings of up to 40% storewide for 10 days from Thursday, November 20 through Saturday, November 29.
“We’re doing things differently this year,” said Dennis May, hhgregg CEO, said in announcing the Thanksgiving-related initiatives. “We’re offering more doorbusters than ever, free delivery on our major appliances and big savings before the shopping frenzy begins. This means that consumers who are wanting a deal but are not interested in Thanksgiving or Black Friday lines can shop hhgregg as early as November 20 for unbeatable prices on the brands they love.”
