High Point Design Series Gets An Update

In partnership with the American Society of Interior Designers, the High Point Market Authority has rebranded its Design Viewpoints Series educational seminars as well as its upcoming fall market virtual schedule.

ASID will present three free CEU-approved seminars via GoToWebinar as part of High Point’s virtual programming, all free and open to all interior designers, retailers and other industry participants. Following their live airings, ASID Academy, the society’s online learning platform, will provide event recordings.

The seminars, each of which runs from noon to 1 p.m. eastern time, are:

  • In Conversation: Kerrie Kelly on Designing an Agile and Thriving Business, Thursday, October 15. LuAnn Nigara discusses business building and COVID-19 with ASID national board of directors chair Kerrie Kelly.
  • Can We Talk? Navigating Difficult Client Conversations, Saturday, October 17. Moderator Phyllis Harbinger speaks with interior designers Cheryl Luckett, John McClain and Beth Diana Smith about navigating client communications and interactions.
  • Woo to Close, Tuesday, October 20. Interior designer Sandra Funk shares ideas about how to land a dream client, discussing her potential new client process from the initial call to sale closing, providing scripts, templates and resources that can help make the connection.

“At ASID, we believe that in order to create meaningful change in the built environment, designers must acquire relevant and timely business knowledge to sustain growing and resilient firms,” said Gary Wheeler, interim CEO, ASID. “We selected the topics for ASID Learn x Design to assist the design community in gaining that imperative business acumen while positively impacting the lives of their clients.”
