The High Point Market Authority has appointed a new chairman and new members to its board of directors for 2019.
The new board members include Lee Boone, co-president of Home Meridian International, Carol Gregg, owner of Red Egg Resources, Mandy Jeffries Minyon, president of Colfax Furniture, and Karen Olson, svp/marketing for International Market Centers. Christi Barbour, founder and partner of Barbour Spangle Design, and Alex Shuford, CEO of Rock House Farm Family of Brands, will join the board and the executive committee.
The new members officially took their seats at the conclusion of an October 17 board meeting. Each will serve a two-year term under new chairman Dudley Moore, president of Otto & Moore. He followed Jeff Scheffer, president of Universal Furniture in the chairman’s role. Moore is a past board member.
“Serving on the board has opened my eyes to the true depth and breadth of High Point Market and the multi-faceted impact it has on our industry,” Moore said. “I am honored to serve in the role of chairman and am embracing the opportunity to do my part in moving the market forward in the years to come.”
