As the Fall High Point Market approaches, the High Point Market Authority has rolled out a programming schedule for its newest space, The Point.
Located on Commerce Avenue, between South Main and Wrenn streets, The Point opened in April during the spring market. The first freestanding, High Point Market-branded venue developed to enhance the buyer experience, it will feature a variety of events in association with the fall market, October 13 to 17.
It will include a pre-show program on Friday, October 12, when The Point will launch a series of live podcasts from Business of Design with host Kimberley Seldon, The Chaise Lounge with host Nick May, Design Between the Lines with host John Conrad and A Well-Designed Business with host LuAnn Nigara.
The Point will also offer roundtable discussions focused on industry-relevant topics. The roundtables will include a discussion about digital marketing with Dering Hall’s Dennis Sarlo, a conversation about licensing with Libby Langdon, Denise McGaha and Dwayne Clark, and a preview of High Point’s new Material ConneXion resource library with Dr. Andrew Dent.
Other programs will feature celebrity meet and greet events with Kathy Ireland and Erin and Ben Napier. In the evenings, The Point will provide wine and craft beer from the local Brown Truck Brewery, as well as cuisine local food trucks. At the same time, The Point will host industry mixers sponsored by the Black Interior Designers Network, the Interior Design Society and the Design Influencers Conference.
