International Market Centers has revealed that the TrendWatch program for the upcoming Fall High Point Market will feature three directional themes: Animalier, Drenching and Focus.
The program for the High Point event, running from October 19 to 23, will identify leading home furnishings trends through an opening day market seminar, three on-site trend vignettes and an on-site publication.
- The Animalier trend encompases classical and tropical colorways, animal skin prints, avian and exotic animal motifs and polished and burnished metal finishes.
- The Drenching trend focuses on color-blocking and color drenching, often as applied to modestly scaled interiors, in hues ranging from violet and citrus to moody blues and upbeat greens.
- The Focus trend, with its emphasis on serenity, wellness, well-being and mindfulness, encompasses material and nature expressed in serene, yet powerful, colors that range into the geological, including soft jewel tones.
The vignettes will be found in the walkway between the International Home Furnishings Center and Showplace buildings near the market transportation terminal, in the IHFC Green Lobby and in the Suites at Market Square lobby. The TrendWatch: Fall 2019 seminar will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 19 in the Suites at Market Square Seminar Room SAMS-T-1014. Seminar attendees will find the TrendWatch publication at the seminar, but it will launch digitally as well via a QR code scannable at each of the displays.
“TrendWatch not only identifies directional design trends, but also highlights the breadth and depth of on-trend product showcased at High Point Market,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC evp/chief marketing and digital officer. “TrendWatch is key for companies looking to identify the trends that will impact product design, consumer preferences and home furnishings sales.”
Market exhibitors that want to participate in the program must submit digital imagery measuring at least 5 inches by 7 inches at 300 dpi and a completed product description form by Wednesday, August 21.
