The Home Depot is working with Pinterest to expand a visual discovery feature, Shop the Look, that includes more than 100,000 new home décor products including vanities, faucets, lighting, textiles, tabletop and interior décor.
The Shop the Look feature makes it easy for consumers to search and buy similar products to those featured in Pins. To shop items in a Pin, consumers can tap the circle on the product and access similar, shoppable items.
Earlier this year, Home Depot launched a video campaign, Built In Pins, to illustrate the DIYer’s hard work behind the inspirational images commonly found on Pinterest. In that case, Pins featured how-to guides and tip-sheets for the projects shown, and are fully shoppable.
The expansion of the partnership with Pinterest complements Home Depot’s growing online catalog of home and interior décor products. Associated with that effort, Home Depot recently acquired The Company Store, an operation that broadened its capabilities in textile development and sourcing.
