CHICAGO— Nostalgia Products will showcase a broad range of electrics with designs and functionality that are geared to home entertaining.
All new appliances that will be presented here at the International Home + Housewares Show will be offered in the company’s updated packaging, which gives the Nostalgia brand a more contemporary look and feel.
“Our packaging for years featured a carnival-style design,” said Gregg Bond, president of Nostalgia. “We needed to revise that look and offer something that was on trend and that would also allow us to create greater brand awareness.”
Among the featured items at the Home + Housewares Show will be new products sold under the Igloo brand. The Igloo 26-pound automatic portable ice maker machine is designed to make ice in as little as seven minutes, according to the company.
With the ability to produce up to 26 pounds of ice per day, a viewing window allows the end user to watch the ice as it’s made. An LED-lighted control panel allows for the choice of small or large ice cube-sizes, informs the end user when to add water and when the ice basket is full.
Compact in size, the unit can be placed on a countertop for easy access.
Also new is the Igloo 3.2-cubic foot single door refrigerator. Featuring a door that also serves as a dry erase board to allow for notes and messages, the unit is equipped with two slide-out glass shelves and a freezer compartment along with 2-liter bottle storage and a can dispenser built into the interior of the door.
According to Nostalgia, the refrigerator is designed for use in a home office, recreation room, dorm room and other small spaces.
Beyond the Igloo assortment, Nostalgia will also feature its HomeCraft 30-cup coffee urn. According to the company, the quick-brewing urn brews one cup of coffee per minute and offers a keep warm function to keep coffee at the proper temperature for several hours.
The unit features a two-way dripless faucet, reusable coffee filter, twist-to-secure lid for safe handling, a pedestal base, LED indicator light and water level markings.
Nostalgia’s Café Ice iced tea & coffee brewing system is designed to brew a variety of drinks in only a few minutes, according to the company. Fresh ground coffee, loose leaf tea or tea bags are placed into the removable filter basket and the brew strength is chosen by using the selector dial. A shower head then saturates the coffee or tea.
On the food preparation side, the company will feature its deluxe grilled cheese sandwich toaster. An assembled cheese sandwich is placed in the toasting basket and the end user is able to choose their preferred level of doneness. The toasting baskets work to hold each sandwich in place.
The Coca-Cola hot dog steamer features a steaming drawer that holds up to 24 hot dogs while the bun warming tray holds up to 12 buns. A three-position cooking dial and easy-view water level indicator window allow the end user to set the proper temperature while also keeping an eye on the water level. The unit disassembles to ease the cleaning process and the unit offers hidden-cord storage.
