Homestar has relocated its corporate office and distribution center in the United States from Statesville, N.C., to Dallas, the company said.
The global ready-to-assemble furnishings supplier is building a new facility to facilitate U.S. operations. It will be fully operational by December 1.
“This is the right location for our company as we align our global manufacturing strategy,” said Steve Lu, president/CEO of Homestar. “I am excited about the next phase of growth for Homestar in North America. We remain focused on our manufacturing facilities in China and opening our new operation in Malaysia to service our North America customers. We are excited about the relocation of our North American organization to Dallas. This is a strategic location going forward for our e-commerce business as well as serving our traditional retail customers.”
Homestar focuses on trend-right functional furniture and home décor for the home office, home entertainment, kitchen & bath, storage & organization, kids, accent, wood bedroom and fireplace product categories. The company hosted attendees at the just-finished Fall High Point Market in part to discuss its evolution.
“We are positioned well as we move forward with our product design, manufacturing capabilities and function,” said Eric Cook, Homestar vp/design and merchandising. “It was an amazing High Point Market as we introduced new product, and the response to the designs has been great.”
