ISLANDIA, NY— The Housewares Group of ICD Publications, including the HomeWorld Business and Gourmet Insider print and digital media platforms, has expanded its editorial team with the appointments of two new senior editors and the promotions of two editors.
Emily Cappiello and Lauren De Bellis have joined HomeWorld Business as senior editors.
Cappiello covers kitchenware with a focus on cookware. Cappiello also was named managing editor of HomeWorld sister title Gourmet Insider.
Cappiello started her business-to-business media career as an editorial assistant for HomeWorld Business before joining Hearst Business Media, for which she ascended from associate editor to assistant managing editor of Floor Covering Weekly. Cappiello also has served as an editor and social media manager for Patch.com; a managing editor and digital content director for Harris Publications; and a digital content director for AMC Networks.
De Bellis, a veteran home and lifestyle editor, covers household products categories for HomeWorld Business including personal care/wellness, floor care/cleaning and home environment. De Bellis also contributes to Gourmet Insider.
De Bellis has served as senior home and crafts editor for Quick & Simple magazine and lifestyle editor for Parents magazine. She began her editorial career as an editorial assistant with Country Living magazine. De Bellis most recently served as a senior account executive with D. Pagan Communications, whose clients include technology manufacturers in the broadcast, pro audio, music and healthcare industries. She also has held a corporate communications post with Canon USA.
Greg Sleter was promoted to executive editor and Stacey Goldberg was promoted to senior associate editor of HomeWorld Business and Gourmet Insider.
Sleter is a 10-year HomeWorld Business veteran who returned to the group earlier this year as senior editor covering kitchen electrics. In his new role, Sleter has increased responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic management of HomeWorld Business and Gourmet Insider.
Goldberg’s new position recognizes her expanded coverage of the kitchenware and bakeware categories for HomeWorld Business, as well as her increased contribution to Gourmet Insider’s print and digital formats.
“We have assembled the deepest and most experienced team of full-time editors focused exclusively on the housewares business,” said Peter Giannetti, editor-in-chief of HomeWorld Business and Gourmet Insider. “The editorial expansion signifies our renewed investment and commitment as the industry’s most comprehensive and responsive provider of news, research and analysis encompassing print, digital and networking platforms.”
Next year will see more editorial innovation from HomeWorld Business and Gourmet Insider, including new, high-impact print products showcasing unique insights on the latest housewares trends and developments; more in-depth financial coverage of housewares retailers and suppliers; more exclusive market research; and an expanded, interactive menu of digital and mobile content, highlighted by more video and social media.
“HomeWorld Business is concluding its 25th anniversary year with increased momentum as the definitive B2B editorial leader in housewares,” Giannetti said. “And Gourmet Insider in less than a decade has been established as the go-to resource for independent gourmet housewares retailers.
“We’re grateful for the industry support through the past 25 years, and we’re excited about the opportunity for our expanded team to inform the housewares business for years to come.”
