HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® Survey Shows Consumers Remain Cautious About Economy

With the national economy showing some early signs of improvement, American consumers remain cautious and are likely to keep a tight hold on their wallets in the year ahead, a recent exclusive HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® survey revealed.

The survey, completed in February for HomeWorld by Albing International Marketing, found that 9-in-10 customers are either “somewhat concerned” or very concerned about the current state of the nation’s economy.

In addition, the survey also revealed that slightly more than one-third of respondents expect the economy to improve over the next 12 months, while 26% of those surveyed expect economic conditions to either worsen “slightly” or “substantially” in the next year.

Complete results of the HomeWorld survey are available in HomeWorld’s March 15 issue available throughout McCormick Place at the Home + Housewares Show.
