Honeywell Positions Infrared Heaters For Winter Season

Honeywell is rolling out its new line of portable infrared heaters for this winter season with a focus on providing consumers increased home comfort and energy efficiency.

The new Honeywell EnergySmart Infrared thermostat regulates the heater’s power consumption and can help save up to 35% on heating bills versus conventional heaters, according to the company. The new MYEnergySmart infrared heater model offers programmable digital controls designed to accommodate the temperature preferences of multiple users. Personalized MYTemp settings can be saved as favorites so each person’s desired heating level is always remembered to provide increased comfort and energy efficiency.

The new portable heaters utilize infrared heating technology to provide a heat output of 5,200 BTUs. All models in the new line also include top located controls for easy programming and safety features like cool-touch housings, overheat protection and a four-way tip-over switch that shuts off the heater if tipped over in any direction. Three Honeywell infrared heaters are now available at retail:

The Honeywell Digital Infrared Heater (HZ-960) provides users with two heat modes to choose from, as well as a programmable thermostat. MSRP: $149.99.

The Honeywell EnergySmart Infrared Heater (HZ-970) offers energy-saving options that are said to help save on energy bills by up to 25% for increased cost-efficiency.
