TTI Floor Care has expanded the Hoover cordless vacuum line, to create the LithiumLife collection— five cordless vacuums that the company stated can be powered by the same, interchangeable lithium battery system.
The expansion is a follow-up to the collection’s flagship model, the Hoover Air Cordless 3.0. Launched in 2014, the Air Cordless was the company’s first full-size, cordless upright vacuum, powered by LithiumLife battery technology.
TTI has now added four more vacuums to the Hoover line, which can all use the same LithiumLife battery: the Hoover Air Cordless 2-in-1, Air Handheld Vacuum, Air Cordless Lift and the Hoover Floormate Cordless.
Since each of the vacuums can use the same interchangeable battery, the company said it enables consumers to customize how they clean their homes by providing them with the runtime and options needed to tackle various cleaning tasks.
“We looked to provide enough power, capacity and runtime to be considered as a replacement to the machines used today,” said Paul Bagwell, global vp/product development, Hoover. “And, the new collection uses one LithiumLife platform, so the batteries are interchangeable between every cleaner in the line, making customization an easy reality.”
The new LithiumLife collection will have an SRP range of $129.99 to $399.99 and is currently available on the Hoover website, with plans for broader distribution later this year.
