Hoover Launches New Brand Campaign

Hoover is undergoing a major rebranding effort, which looks to build on the brand’s heritage while modernizing the way it is perceived in the marketplace. The new campaign, “A New Generation of Clean,” builds upon the brand’s legacy while addressing the needs of today’s active family, the company said.

In addition, Hoover is introducing a series of new floor care launches with exclusive new technology and advanced design, including a new Hoover app compatible with some robotic, stick and handheld vacuums.

“The launch of the new Hoover brand speaks directly to who we are as a company and is a reflection of the value we bring to our stakeholders around performance, design and innovation,” said Gary Scott, president, TTI Floor Care North America, Hoover’s parent company. “This will demonstrate our focused approach to deliver long term growth and success in an extremely dynamic, competitive landscape.”

One development supporting the new launch of the brand is its exclusive FloorSense technology. The technology is said to detect a change in floor type and automatically adjust brush roll speed, providing consumers with optimal unit performance. This new feature will make its debut in the launch of the new React line of upright, stick and robot vacuums, and will continue to be implemented in new appliances moving into 2018. The React line is set for a spring launch.

Hoover has also developed the Hoover app, which allows users to customize their cleaning experience. Enabled by Bluetooth connectivity, consumers can maintain their Hoover vacuums for peak performance and set cleaning controls directly from a smartphone or tablet. The Hoover App is compatible with Quest robotic vacuums and will be compatible with the new React upright and stick vacuums.

In addition, the brand will introduce its OnePWR battery platform, which leverages and incorporates the battery expertise of its parent company, TTI Floor Care. The battery technology is said to enhance the cordless experience, and will be incorporated into multiple products moving forward.
