Entries are open for the 2019 Housewares Design Awards, presented by HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® in partnership with the Las Vegas Market.
The 14th Housewares Design Awards ceremony is set for Tuesday, January 29, 2019, during the Winter 2019 Las Vegas Market at the World Market Center Las Vegas.
The 2019 Housewares Design Awards will recognize excellence in 11 core housewares categories, an expanded Smart Home category and a new Gourmet Specialty Foods category.
The 2019 ceremony also will feature the third annual Design Influencer Of The Year Award.
“HomeWorld Business created the Housewares Design Awards in 2003 to recognize and celebrate the central role design innovation plays in the creation of value-added differentiation as a catalyst for growth in the housewares industry,” HomeWorld Business Editor-in-Chief Peter Giannetti said. “The awards honor many of the industry’s most successful and influential products, pioneering developments that have generated new ways to improve everyday living.”
“Best in Category” winners of the 2019 Housewares Design Awards will be announced and all finalists will be recognized at the January 29 awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Market is partnering with HomeWorld Business on the Housewares Design Awards for the third year as the award ceremony host while providing independent judging, operational and promotional support for the design competition.
Non-stick coatings leader Whitford Corporation continues its longstanding sponsorship of the Housewares Design Awards.
“Las Vegas Market’s growth in gift-oriented housewares, boutique tabletop and specialty food has been explosive, and our summer 2018 market will showcase a record-breaking 750+ gourmet resources in permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of gift leasing and chief marketing officer of Las Vegas Market operator International Market Centers. “A key component in our growth in this category has been our support of the Housewares Design Awards, and we are excited to partner with HomeWorld Businessagain this year to refine and expand the competition for the industry.”
A special display spotlighting the 2019 finalists and award-winning products will be featured adjacent to the C11 gourmet housewares showrooms during the Winter 2019 Las Vegas Market, January 28 to February 1.
“We are extremely enthusiastic about our ongoing partnership with Las Vegas Market, which has heightened the profile and prestige of the Housewares Design Awards and helped to recognize the next generation of housewares design innovations,” HomeWorld’s Giannetti said.
