Euromonitor International will host a keynote session at the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago to explore the effects of digital communication and shopping on the marketplace.
According to Euromonitor International, the proportion of households worldwide with Internet access should reach 57% this year, increasing to 71% in 2030. In a session focused on advancing global connectivity, Erika Sirimanne, head of home and garden at the market research firm, will identify smart home as the next stage in digital evolution and as an emerging opportunity in the virtual marketplace.
Sirimanne will explore shopping motivations and key connected consumer characteristics in the seminar, to equip retailers and suppliers with insights on how to engage with digital shoppers as they spend more time online.
Sirimanne’s keynote session, “Digital Disruption: Consumer Trends Influencing Retailers of Tomorrow,” takes place noon at Sunday, March 3 in Chicago’s McCormick Place.
