The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) recently announced a new relationship with the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI), a North American trade organization serving manufacturers and processors of biomass for renewable energy and natural industrial applications.
HPBA, which represents nearly 2,200 manufacturers, retailers and other players in the hearth, patio and barbecue industries, previously managed PFI under a long-standing agreement. PFI is now independent, but the two organizations will continue to cooperate closely on legislative and other important issues of mutual concern, according to the association.
“This is a natural evolution,” said HPBA president and CEO Jack Goldman. “But the interests of our two organizations continue to align, and we will work together closely on the Hill and around the industry. We welcome a continued PFI presence at the annual HPB Expo and at other HPBA events, and look forward to strengthening our natural connections.”
