In February, Ikea celebrates 50 years of its Ivar storage system as it rolls out a new range of colorful products to the company’s U.S. stores.
The Ivar storage collection combines a sturdy frame with shelving that can accommodate a host of products from books to tools to libations, Ikea said. The collection, which incorporates sustainably grown solid pine in frames and shelves, can be customized in a variety of large and small combinations using components that also include side hooks and wine racks.
Ikea said that the theme behind the new products is making everyday life more playful. The new products come in a variety of materials in a modern style with a focus on color-blocking and simplicity, and feature side tables, including the Burvik Side Table, pendant lamps and brightly colored accessories for the living room, Ikea noted. It also includes a range of water and energy-saving showers for the bathroom.
In addition, the home furnishings retailer is also launching a host of other new items including its new Klammig baby furniture, textiles and a mattress collection.
