International Market Centers on Tuesday said that high occupancy levels on existing better home décor floors, increased interest from vendors and overall leasing momentum will accelerate the planned launch of C5 at the Las Vegas World Market Center.
The new floor for high-end home décor, home textiles and accessories will now occur during the 2015 Winter Las Vegas Market, running from Sunday, January 18, through Thursday, January 22.
IMC originally planned the C5 launch for the 2015 Summer Las Vegas Market. The C5 initiative was slated as part of the third, and final, phase of Las Vegas Market’s three-year strategic growth plan. C5 will premiere in January 2015 as a hybrid of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits.
For the Winter 2015 debut, C5 will feature a hybrid presentation of boutique showrooms featuring innovative, design-driven and artisanal home textiles and accessories resources, alongside home-focused temporary exhibits in five categories, IMC noted. The home fashions product mix on C5 will include top of bed and coordinating bedroom ensembles, portable lighting, wall art, decorative accessories, floor coverings, accent furniture, decorative pillows related products, the host organization stated.
“Las Vegas Market’s continued leasing momentum will allow us to introduce C5 six months earlier than originally scheduled,” Dorothy Belshaw, IMC president Gift+Home Decor. “Ultimately, C5 will feature an additional 30 new home textiles and home décor showrooms for Winter 2015, with over 60 more permanent showrooms to be added for Summer 2015.”
